Spa Fitness Pools
Fitness pools with a moveable or adjustable floor offer tremendous flexibility to carry out different activities, from relaxation to teaching to therapy and fitness.
Shallow Pools, from depths of 20 cm to 120 cm (8” to 40”), allow you to focus on legs without stressing ankle and knee joints. Activities include walking/running at different depths and currents; swimming against increasingly stronger currents; moving lower limbs against currents for stress-free strengthening; leg squats and more.
Deep Pools, from depths of 120 cm to 180 cm (40” to 60’), make it possible to work on ankles, knees, hips and back joints while avoiding the stress of bearing full weight on painful or weakened areas. In the gravity-free environment, exercises like running, leaping, moving limbs against currents, squats, arm exercises, and activities with life jackets all become possible.
Taking it a step further – deep water exercises encourage strength, stamina and flexibility. Consider: free body gymnastics; Running in water against different currents; exercises at different water levels; ability to simulate walking in a river by adjusting the flow of water jets; video analysis (cameras optional, upon request); sound therapy; and, spinning.
