The collaboration between Myrtha Pools and Virgin Active Fitness Clubs led to the creation of two new pools, installed on the seventh floor of the Empire Tower in Bangkok.
The height and the structural features of the building made this project particularly delicate, but Myrtha Pools developed an effective solution to make both the Olympic pool and the spa even lighter than they normally would be. Instead of building the traditional concrete foundation, Myrtha’s designers studied a specific steel structure, that significantly reduced the weight of the pools.
Both Virgin Bangkok’s pools were built with Myrtha technology and have a white interior covering and Bisazza’s black mosaic tile finish, which perfectly fit with the elegant and refined taste of the entire center.
The Olympic swimming pool (20 × 9.62 m) is equipped with LED lighting and the Virtual Trainer system, the device designed by Myrtha Pools for swimmers training sessions.
The spa (6.7 × 6.6 m) is completed with accessories for wellness and whirlpool, including fountains, geysers and hydro-massage benches, to offer Virgin Active customers moments of unforgettable relaxation.
